FurMark
Download FurMark, the industry-standard GPU stress testing tool. Test graphics card stability, monitor temperature, and benchmark performance.
FurMark is an intensive OpenGL benchmark that uses fur rendering algorithms to stress test your graphics card. It's the industry standard for GPU stability and thermal testing.
Features
- Intensive GPU stress testing
- Real-time temperature monitoring
- GPU-Z sensor support
- Multiple test presets
- Benchmark scoring system
- Custom resolution support
- Windowed and fullscreen modes
- Portable version available
How to Use FurMark
Download and Install
Download FurMark from the official website or use the portable version.
Configure Settings
Choose resolution, anti-aliasing, and select a preset (1080, 2160, or custom).
Monitor Preparation
Open a temperature monitoring tool (GPU-Z or Afterburner) alongside FurMark.
Run the Test
Click 'GPU Stress Test' and monitor temperatures. Stop if temps exceed 85-90°C.
Analyze Results
Check for artifacts, crashes, or thermal throttling. The score can be compared online.
Pros
- Extremely intensive stress test
- Industry-standard for stability testing
- Built-in temperature monitoring
- Free to use
- Portable version available
- Benchmark scoring for comparison
Cons
- Can cause very high temperatures
- Windows-only
- May trigger thermal throttling quickly
- Not representative of gaming workloads
💡 Tips
- • Don't run for more than 10-15 minutes unless testing thermal limits
- • Watch temperatures closely and stop if they exceed safe limits for your GPU
- • Run at stock clocks first before testing overclocks
- • Close other applications to ensure accurate results
